Moving or renovating: where to put your things until you settle
Moving and renovating share the same problem: your things need somewhere to go while the new flat isn't ready or the building work isn't finished, but not forever. A neighbour's cellar isn't a real solution, and a friend's garage doesn't work for longer than a week.
That's why storing with us isn't tied to a lease or a fixed duration: bring in what you need out of the flat, and we hold onto it until you come to collect it.
Why moving or renovating is not the same as long-term storage
When you're moving or renovating you rarely know in advance exactly how long you'll need to keep things stored — it depends on when the new flat is ready or when the contractors finish. That's why we don't lock in a duration for months upfront; we agree on a rough timeframe and extend it if needed.
The same goes for scope: with a move it might be a few boxes of electronics and tools, with a renovation mostly things that dust, paint or building work could damage.
What's worth moving out of the flat
- ·Electronics: computers, TVs, audio equipment, consoles — dust and moisture from building work don't do them any favours.
- ·Bikes, skis and sports gear that just get in the way during a move or renovation.
- ·Tools and smaller equipment you don't need right now but don't want to lose in the chaos of moving.

How it works if you're moving or renovating
The same as with regular storage: you write to us with what and roughly how long you want to store, and we agree on scope and handover. Bring items to our location at Koroška cesta 4 in Kranj, or we arrange a pickup if transport is inconvenient during your move.
Once you move into the new flat or the renovation is done, you simply collect your things again — no fixed date pushing you along.
Price: by arrangement, fit for a short period
Because a move or a renovation is often a shorter but less predictable period, we set the price by arrangement based on actual scope and duration, the same as with any other storage. Write to us with what you have and how long you expect it to take, and you'll get a concrete quote.
